Increased Export Rebates Estimated to Reach RMB 31.2 Billion in One Year

The Export Rebate Rate increase for Textile and Electronic Products (released on Mar 27th) is estimated to result in a rebate amount of 31.2 billion RMB for the year. Export rebates for textile and garments, in particular, is estimated to reach RMB 9.8 billion. The export tax rebate percentages are summarized below:

These rebates are designed to complement the Chinese government’s plan to adjust and promote ten designated Chinese industries, and should be seen as an active measure that the government is taking to aid its ailing export industry.
